AI Citation Tracking: See What AI Cites

See which URLs are linked as sources in sampled AI answers. Citation tracking helps you inspect the pages accompanying a claim and identify where your own content is being referenced.

Distinguish a citation from a crawl

A citation is a link presented with an answer. A crawler visit is a server request and needs separate log evidence. Neither event proves that every claim is supported, or that the content caused a recommendation.

Inspect the source in context

Open the URL and check whether it supports the statement beside the link. Record the prompt, engine, date and cited passage. Separate owned documentation from third-party reviews, directories and discussions so follow-up work has a clear owner.

Use gaps as research questions

When a competitor page is linked, ask what useful information it contains. Improve missing or outdated information on your own site when it serves readers. Do not copy the competing page or assume a new article will displace its citation.
